Experimental Study on Conformance Control Using Acidic Nanoparticles in a Heterogeneous Reservoir by Flue Gas Flooding

Flue gas flooding has been applied in many oilfields for its accessibility and low cost. However, the problem of channeling during flue is significantly more serious due to reservoir heterogeneity gravity override, traditional profile control agent inapplicable because acidity. In order solve this challenge, a novel acidic nanoparticle was presented first; then, performance both water slugs heterogeneous reservoirs studied using core samples with different rhythms. The results show that stability nanoparticles good, viscosity solution increases as pH decreases, which suitable flooding. oil recovery positive rhythm 5–10% greater than reverse core. slug can improve by 5% core, less 2% effect much better slug. It improved 10% continuing after treatment, 20% ultimate reverse-rhythm cores treatment around 50%, treatment. conformance formation plugging capacity, deformation characteristic, increment an environment. This research demonstrated these could be effectively reservoirs.
